Free Toolbars

The toolbars below provide lots of useful features, mainly relating to the search engines they are related to. Our favourite is the Google Toolbar as this is easy to download and install and allows you to search Google from any web page.

Google Toolbar

Search the web with Google from webpage. Other features include a spell checker, pop-up blocker, and auto-fill for web forms.

Windows Live Toolbar

As well as being able to search MSN from any webpage, it also enables you to access your bookmarks from any computer and has a "phishing" filter to inform you if the site you are on is trying to scam you into giving out your personal data.

Yahoo Toolbar

The Yahoo toolbar has integrated anti-spy technology and also allows you to search Yahoo and access your favourite bookmarks from anywhere.

Alexa Toolbar

Alexa's toolbar is slightly different to those above as it provides the ability to see statistics about the site you are on, such as contact information and popularity. Also included is a "related links" feature.
